Netbooks or mini-laptops continue to gain popularity and grow-in demand between the accommodations of wide range of Notebooks. The functionality matters difference between Notebooks and Netbooks. Notebooks perform all the functions of PCs but more portable. The light, compact, energy efficient and highly portable Netbooks have only the basic functions that lack-in power to run complex applications or games. Pricing and size stand out to be major factors in Netbook’s growth which affords Internet browsing, chatting and playing music or video. Netbooks screen size ranges from 7 – 12 inches and weighs just around 1-1.2 Kg making it more portable. The Netbooks are half-priced the laptops, made it’s entry with EeePC launched by Taiwan-based multinational ASUS in 2007 followed by Dell(Inspiron Mini), HP(HP Mini), HCL(MiLeap Series), Lenovo(Idea pad-S Series) and Acer(Aspireone) in 2008. These Netbooks targeted cloud computing users rely on servers with less powerful application. Cloud computing is an emerging technology which relies on central servers for the delivery and application maintenance. Google applications, Maps and Gmail all that accessed today are based on the cloud computing. PC manufacturers like HP, Asus, Lenovo, Samsung and HCL are marching towards a better market share for their Netbooks.
