PostHeaderIcon Digital World

The digital world is versed with a lot of innovations including the computer integrations. These have made their entrance in many parts of our daily lives. A lot of the circuits that occupied large spaces in olden times have been optimized by the use of super-scaled IC’s. The programming of such circuitry has become even easier with the development of human-like syntax in place of computer languages. With the advent of modern electronics, machinery is working faster due to the integration of more efficient architecture. This has speeded up the handling of tasks by the machinery since they can make faster calculations in binary form. Machinery is therefore becoming cheaper since less material is used for the production of the working parts. The effect of this on communication has been dynamic. Communication activities have since become easier with more instances of message sending being handled. This is as a result of the thankful process of dealing away with the many backlogs. It has become easier to network components with modern technology’s adaptation of open source systems. Handling of discrete electronic components has made its way into the mainstream public making it easier for design of even more community serving hardware.

Blu ray technology simply known as blu ray disk (BD) is a next generation computer storage technology that is applied to the optical disk. To explain the blu ray technology one must first understand how it was created. BD was created jointly by the leading players in the field of electronics, computers and media from over 180 companies that formed the Blu Ray Disk association (BDA) the likes of Apple, Hitachi Dell and HP, Samsung electronics, LG Electronics ,Sun Micro systems, Walt Disney Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment to name but a few. This format of recording equipment was created out of the need to enable the high resolution or quality that lacked in other mediums of storage when recording data and information. It was thus created to hold more data up to 5 times as much as traditional DVD s and CD’s that is it can hold up to 25 GB of data at any one time on a single layer disk and double that on a double layered disk! The name ‘blu ray’ is derived from its use of the blue laser ray in encoding data being different to the red laser ray that is used by all the other recording mediums. Since the blu ray is of a shorter wave length than the red it is able to fit more data into the same amount of disk space thus maximizing the disk space better than red laser ray. One has to appreciate the wonders of modern technology to be able to appreciate the flexibility of BD technology.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 is a compact camera and comes with 10.1 mega pixels, which I know is not massive in the world of 15 or even 20 mega pixels cameras but it is up there considering the price and quality it produces which is achieved from a massive 12x zoom, 25mm ultra wide-angle lens. Luckily, it doesn’t have the problems of distorting or softening images like other super high zooms. This camera can also be seen as a hybrid of a cam-recorder and a normal ‘conventional digital’ camera. It has a built-in feature called AVCHD which is used in some Panasonic and Sony cam-recorders as well and makes the Lumix DMC-TZ7 capable of recording HD audio and video at 720p resolution although it has to be said that, this is the only area where it some-what struggles to perform in ability, focusing, zooming and the capture speed of fast moving objects (into a video) but the end quality doesn’t suffer much. The camera’s exterior is also of a solid and superior quality to other cameras in the same price range and is very well constructed. It has a superb three-inch high resolution screen which blends in beautifully with the internal features and does justice to the overall product. Other functions and features include an improved face detection and image stabilization system, a mini HDMI port. Overall this is a very good camera in most of the aspects and will fulfill almost all the needs of an average user/photographer.

PostHeaderIcon Multimedia gadgets

This refers to the combination of the different digital media such as graphics, photos, video, voice, animations and sound effects. Multimedia technology has brought about so many benefits to the communication world. Multimedia uses visual and audio capabilities to convey its information and knowledge effectively. The multimedia gadgets are made in an attractive and easy to use manner so that they draw the appeal of the users. The multimedia gadgets are used to listen to music, take photos and videos, send graphic emotions etc. They are also incorporated in popular devices such as mobile phones and computers. The multimedia products draw in more people to buy them because they have several features and capabilities all together than single medium gadgets. They make it possible to present complicated ideas and procedures in a simple way. Since the multimedia gadgets are electronic you can be able to reproduce the pictures videos or graphic arts to share them with your friends. It does this in an economical and simple way. You do not need any specialized skill to operate them. The multimedia applications are also used in learning like taking pictures or recording a lecture that you can refer to later in your own time.
